Right at Home Tyneside provides premium quality homecare to a broad base of people across Newcastle and North Tyneside.  Clients include private funders, specialist and framework clients from local authorities, referrals of individuals with dementia through specialist dementia care centres and referrals from the NHS, including end of life and neurorehabilitation and neuropsychiatry for people with a disability caused by injury or disease affecting the brain, spinal cord, or muscles.  We are recognised as one of the top industry leaders in the North East of England.

Responsibilities of the Registered Manager include:

·       Provide leadership, management, and the highest level of support to the care team, helping to ensure the very best outcomes in everything they do.

·       Ability to take ownership of achieving the highest levels of compliance with regards to regulations, statute, quality standards & policies and procedures, aspiring to achieve an Outstanding CQC rating.

·       Accountable for the Health & Safety of staff and clients and ensuring a safe working environment.

·       Continually review and improve processes to ensure the most effective and efficient service is being delivered to all clients.

·       Oversee the recruitment of high-quality Carers, implement excellent training and maintain high retention ratios.

·       Ability to ensure scheduling is effectively managed so that Carers deliver the prompt and outstanding care to the Client.

·       To take ownership of quality assurance and governance through scheduled Spot Checks, Service Reviews, Internal Audits and Annual Surveys.

·       Ability to complete and continuously improve the Assessments, Risk Assessments and Support Plans to ensure the Client’s desired outcomes are achieved and their expectations are exceeded. Going the extra mile is the norm.

·       Take responsibility for ensuring the Out of Hours mobile ‘phone is covered outside normal office hours, including holding the phone as part of the on-call rota and covering Carer duties if necessary

·       Work closely with the business owner and be a key figure in ensuring the business grows sustainably and in line with mutually targets.

Qualifications and Experience required from our Registered Manager:

·        Qualifications in, or be working towards, QCF Level 5 in Health and Social Care (or the equivalent)

·        Management experience of domiciliary care with an in depth understanding of CQC assessment criteria

·        Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to talk passionately about our services and values to potential Clients or referral sources. Ideally strong networking connections to relevant local authorities and CCG bodies.

·        Extremely well organised, good IT and spreadsheet skills and excellent planning and prioritising ability with close attention to detail
